Can anyone recommend a reputable business to install a light trailer hitch on my wife's GTI? I will be mounting a 2 bicycle carrier and not towing a trailer.

Thanks!

I bought a tool box from Rack and Road in San Rafael, they seemed to have their shit together. There's one in San Jose.

Don't know any shops to recommend, sorry. That being said:

I did mine on my 2019 Cruze in just under an hour. That includes taking off and reinstalling the bumper cover.

Purchased through PartsGeek. The instructions were very thorough.

Hello Danny, thanks for the answer. I miss the Buell nights in the East bay; I used to bring my son, we had good times. I hope you have been and are doing well.

I guess it depends upon car and hitch. I got a Curt hitch for my Corolla wagon to tow race-bike. No bumper removal needed, 4-bolts and took about 30-minutes. Took longer to jack up car than to install trailer-hitch. Most of time was spent installing wiring-adapter. A lot of newer cars have trailer-wiring pre-installed.
