This event was the highlight of Saturdays Events with it turning into a 4 way train in the last 10 minutes. Team Italia pulled out the win at the end of the hour with a narrow margin over Team SEPRA which was on the same lap as Team Italia! This was an amazing event with a full cash purse that was divided between the top three teams. The total purse for the race was $250.00 from the five entries.

The event started off with a Lemans start and we quickly saw that youth could out run age at anytime when the “Mini Rocket” Kyle Rech got to his bike and had a 50 yard lead before any of the other teams got away from the start. He held his lead until the pack caught him on the first lap and he continued to battle until Team Italia’s first pit stop which went off very smoothly. You would think they had been doing this for years. The amazing thing was with the length of this track that all the teams turned 50 laps or more in 1 hour!

The battle started in the daylight and stretched into the dark of night with Team SEPRA and Team Italia battling for the win! If you have never run a motorcycle at night you should try it! It will challenge your riding abilities to the fullest! The most amazing performance of the race was put on by what I think will be one of the top mini moto racers for years to come. Mario Alvarez II showed his amazing riding talents that kept his team running near the top for the whole evening! Mario was running lap times in the dark that were equal to the adult times that were being run during the day on a DM 10 HP Brutale. All I can tell you is watch out for this young gun!

I would like to congratulate all of the riders in this race and would like to thank you for putting on an exciting race. It was a great way to end a day of amazing racing. See the rest of the results from Sunday’s two finals below:
