Vallejo/Amer.Cyn./Napa-mellow ride 5/7/11

Tuesday, 5-7-2011, tomorrow 10:00 am. Weather seems to be @ 70's and no rain in the forecast. I'm going to ride, just a mellow ride, cruising to Highway 16 to H-20

Route:

Meet @ Starbucks (American Canyon) along Sonoma Blvd. by Safeway

KSU 10:00 am

H-80 to H-505 (Slab)

Exit @ Winters (Chevron) Right

Right on road 89? to H-16 Madison

Left on H-16 to Cache Creek Gas Staion. (Rest)

Proceed on H-16 to H-20

If still have time, Left on H-20 to H-53, down on H-29 to Calistoga and back to Amer.Cyn.

If not, I will hit the freeway again which is at Williams (H-5) to H-505, to H-80.
It will be a mellow ride, no rush. Anyone wants to ride tomorrow?

Let me know, if there's no one interested, then, I won't have to go to Starbucks.

I hope the weather forecaster is right.........................Any suggestion are always welcome

Kamikaze has an alternate route for this trip and we'll just discuss this at Starbucks. I think he mentioned about omitting the H-80 & H-505, and just go H-121...to Winters.

Well it was a very exciting ride with Will and Gene today. We went to Cash Creek, H80/H505, where we had all you can eat lunch and lost a few dollars. We lost the bikes because no one knew what floor we parked on in the garage.

We then hit the road from Winters over to Berryessa upper lake and took a break at the dam. Then we came back H121/Silverado Trail to American Canyon Starbucks had some brew and chat. At H121 and H12 in Napa Will surprised me. He gunned his bike and came up on me to my left with a big grin on his face like he wanted to get it on. I guess we were doing about 90mph then. I said ok big boy let’s see what you got and hit 4th then I was 120mph almost instantly. I was so proud of Will for his effort. It was in a very safe place and we were all alone. Will went home with a smile on his face. He was excited that he was able to fly up upon me and surprise me. Gene was in front of us until I passed him.

Gene you do very good and Will you are truly getting the hang of your bike. I am proud of you and keep up the rides you will get much better.

Gene & Joanne, what can I say? I had a very great time riding with both of you. Following you & Joanne on the twisties really helps me alot with my riding, esp., those twisties. I was trying to stay with both of you there as safely as I can. I had to push myself a little bit to learn. Thanks to both of you again.
Yes Joanne, it was really fun trying to outgun you (safely) on that stretch, but failed. I'll try next time again :laughing.
Hey, nice pics...Remind me not to eat buffet during a ride, I just can't seem to eat as much as I wanted to...snacks are fine, but nothing to heavy.
I really had a great time riding today:ride.

Next time I post a ride, I'll just say " Will is wanting to ride "... No route or destination, just how long the ride will take for the whole trip. I'll just leave the Destination open for discussion or by vote from all those who are there at the meeting place. But, of course the meet-up time would be a little bit earlier than the usual 9:00-10:00 am. Surprise ride......

Keep up the pratice, you are doing good. HAHAHA next time I will let the boy win.

And snacks are a good idea.

Anytime you want to ride and I am available I will go with you.

Glad you had a wonderful time. I enjoyed you company also.
