here's the story:
my husband and i just moved into a townhouse in union city. we just finished painting the room that will be our office but have not yet moved in the furniture. in fact, my husband ditched going on a ride this past weekend just to finish the painting for me, so i want to surprise him when he gets back from a business trip on wednesday night by having the office all arranged.
i need help moving furniture (HEAVY furniiture, mind you) from another room to this painted room. there are 2 large desks, 2 tall bookcases, 2 tall bookcase end caps, two filing cabinets, and 1 corner table. they are all wood and very solid. i have moved them before with my husband, but they can be a bitch to move around.
you must:
- be able to be at my place TONIGHT, 4/26, around 6 pm. i don't care how you get there, just get there. we're just 5 minutes away from the union landing plaza off of alvarado niles. i'll give the specific address to whoever takes this job.
- be big and strong. sorry, no girls (unless you're over 6' tall and can bench at least 1.5 times your own body weight :teeth ). i can carry my end of the furniture, but just barely, and want someone strong enough to do the majority of the lifting.
- be able to spend at least 1 hour (i think that should be sufficient, but it might go to 1.5 hours in case some re-arranging needs to be done) to move and place the furniture.
- have your own medical insurance and/or not hold me liable for any injuries you may incur (i.e. stubbing toes, dropping furniture on your foot, getting splinters from the furniture, etc.). take this job at your own risk.
- be careful! we just painted the room and the furniture is pretty nice, and we'd like to have it banged up as little as possible.
i will pay you $25 per hour, cash. if it takes less than 1 hour, you are guaranteed at least $25. no slowing the work down to take longer, or i'll punch you into next week my damn self. :laughing
this should take only one other person, so please don't bring anyone else hoping i'll pay them too.
any takers? i just really want to have the office set up for him when he gets home. i've got some work commitments for tomorrow night and wednesday night, so only really have tonight to get this big part done. all of my girlfriends, are, well, girls and wouldn't be good for this kind of work.
call me if interested on my cell @ *removed*. first big burly guy takes it!
thanks,
marianne
