Oh lord, less than a hundred miles away from me in Columbia, SC.

This has been *the* dream bike of mine since the very beginning. Outdated and outperformed by anything even remotely modern? No question... and yet there's still just something about it. If money was no object, I would have already been down there with the trailer... but I can't quite justify throwing $23.5k at a collector vehicle. Maybe the guy will let me head down there and touch the fairings, or god forbid sit on the thing. :laughing

Heads up to any of you who might be looking.. It's not often you see stuff like this for sale. Again, this is *not* my bike, but caught me eye on the local craigslist this morning.

Old Guys Rule
About 3 years ago saw a guy wreck one on HWY 25, made me sick.
Totaled it. Funny thing was he wrecked it on the straight part not on a curve.
His friend said he had only been riding for a year and that the bike was new to him
OUCH.

Not so much a sportbike guy anymore, but this is still my favorite "look" of all for sportbikes. Slightly boxy, roundish front tapering off to a nice edge, dual headlights. The boxy look always looked so compact and beautiful to me. I guess that's why I have a CBR400RR still in my garage that I can barely bear to sell off :D

It's a gorgeous bike. I, too, have always been a fan of these bikes.

But I'd never ride it, since it really is a museum piece.

I can think of how many times I can use that $23K to go a visit the Barber Museum. Where not only one of these resides, but, well, pretty much everything else.

But good luck to whoever purchases it.

Man behaving bikely...
Nice find Kestrel... just before I sold balls 44 I invited a few friends to test hop
an RC30 for the first time in their life... of course with no insurance and no plate
they were restricted to around the block but still it was music to the seat of
their pants... if I known your desire I would have extended an invite...

Since it's bone stock there are a list of items this RC30 needs before an owner
can experience the full measure on your favorite bendy bits... I can help...
