This trip happened a couple years ago, but I finally got the pictures on line.

The trip was from Valdivia Chile north up the eastern Andes until the Bolivian border and then we crossed the Andes (16,000 feet!) west to the Chilean coast and rode back to Valdivia. About 5000 miles over six weeks.

We camped most of the time, and it being winter had quite a few nights below freezing up at altitude. The bike was bought in Chile, little Honda CGL125 that cost $1600 brand new and we sold it after a few months.

Enjoy,

Mission Peak
amazing pictures! I'm sure it was definitely a lifetime trip.

I tried to do a little reading about the Valley of the Moon in San Juan. One place said it's just from weathering the stones, but I cant see how they're perfectly spherical like that. But supposedly there are also a lot of dinosaur fossils too.

really cute burro!! thanks for sharing!
