Two nights away with just my wife, where to go?

Where should I go? At the end of this month we've got three days and two nights to go someplace.

I love Vegas but she doesn't. We are very outdoors oriented. We just got back from Hawaii so I don't want to go to the coast, although San Diego may be fun.

Is Yosemite good this time of year?

Help me out! :twofinger

oooh, oooh! I also love the area around Cedarville although it's a podunk town. Maybe that is why I like it. There are hot springs.

re: my earlier post there's lots of hiking (like Table Rock, etc) and their ski mountain may still be open. You could probably get your cross country ski on near Howard Prairie Lake.

oooh, ooooh! Also kind of local: Take a leisurely tour, check out City of 10,000 Buddhas. Soak at Orr Springs on the way to Mendocino (town of). Maybe go hike on the lost coast and stay in Ferndale one night? I mean, there's so much good fun stuff nearby. :)

Maybe you can satisfy both needs? Fly to Vegas on your way to Bryce/Zion/GC and make sure you get an evening in Vegas on your way in/out.

Every day could be radically different (there is the weather) But Yosemite Is awesome... Right now... Waterfalls are at max. flow.

Not a lot to go on about your preferences but throwing a few things out there:

Have you been to Murphy's? A weekend there in a B&B, with some soaking up the charm of that area and some hiking trails to satisfy your outdoorsiness might be cool.

Sea Ranch up north if you want to hole up.

Staycation in the city with pub crawling is always fun

We're going to Catalina next month. But 3 days and 2 nights might be too much, it is a pretty small place. A real enjoyable 2 days thing though.
