Really?
Ooo wooooooow, dem ugly Stroms do go fast. I think they so ugly cops decided to stop you and give you tickets. Buy a liter sexy super duper missile with two wheels and you’ll be ok.

LOL

Getting the tickets in the other order would have made more sense - you're in hurry because you are late and doing 86mph. You get pulled over, get a ticket, you're really late, so you really pick up the pace a lot!

114 mph is too fast for me even in a car, never been one for raw speed. I like things nice and slow, except for my shop press, that thing could definitely go a little faster and I wouldn't complain.

I've been cited for 142 in a 55 many years ago in a Datsun Z car doing tuning pulls in the country. I've also been upwards of 120 for more than a mile on local freeways. Sometimes it happens.

Also, VStroms fucking rule.

I made it from Salinas to Morgan Hill in about minutes in the late 80's. I think I averaged about 100 mph plus on the parts I could. I was going so fast people were actually getting out of the fast lane for me. I did this until I got to about Tenant Ave then slowed down to about 75 MPH then I got passed by CHP between East Dunne and Cochrane like I was standing still, shit my pants and exited to go home. Didn't speed for a long while afterwards as I figured I had used up my luck quotient for a few months.

Also did many many high speed passes down Monterey highway back in the days. V8's and a young kid were not a good mix.

There was this one time...when I was young and stupid...

I earned a ticket near Coalinga, then another in Long Beach, and then in San Onofre in the same day. 98mph, 70mph, and 75mph.

Holy crap I had some questionable judgement when I was 21.

I didn't get it for speeding but got pulled over 4 times in one day for not having a license plate and not having the red sticker in the window. I didn't want to mess up the tint on the back window so didn't put it on. Last cop followed me home and made sure I put it on......

I do remember doing around 120+MPH on the bike one time scared myself and slowed down. Did not realize I was going that fast trying to keep up with my buddy on his R1.

I always thought the V-Strom is a liter bike, and the Wee-Strom is a 600.

PS. I get it ... when you say "liter bike", you really mean "sport bike".

Friend of mine bought a Gold Wing, added farkles (like GPS and helmet radio with cell phone hookup), and took it on a cross-country trip. Made the mistake of calling his wife from the open road in Texas, just to tell her that he was going 140mph, indicated on the GPS. She was NOT happy with him. That's worse than getting a ticket.

There is Vstrom, Vee Strom 1000 and Wee Strom 650. In 2012, they started calling the 650 the Glee Strom because of the Gladius motor.
Anyway, the bike on the citation is an SV650 so none of this matters.

I've gotten two tickets in one day, the day following a track day.

First ticket was for no plate (forgot to put it back on after track day, lol), second was for speeding. Good times.

These days, I have a good driver discount! Age/maturity FTW.
