Hi all

I took two new foster cats under my wing last night, and they are looking for their forever home

They lost their human parent, and the family didn't want to take them in, so they were surrendered to Community Concern for Cats :(

Two beautiful long haired girls. One is caramel cream coloured, named Cami the other one is a mix of tabby/calico colouring, name Breici (Breezy) Beautiful fluffy girls, freshly bathed and groomed and smell as sweet as they look. They are BIG girls. BIG. And did I say BEAUTIFUL???

They are a little shell shocked at the moment, but were quite friendly to me this morning when I went to visit them in the foster bedroom.

Purebred Maine Coons. Cats don't come more beautiful than that. And Maine Coons are known to be gentle giants, friendly, dog like and all around good natured cats

If you are interested in adopting them, please go to www.communityconcernforcats.org and print out an adoption application. Please email it to candaceo@aol.com with the subject Maine Coon Adoption Application, OR Cami and Brieci (or similar)

They are about ten to twelve years old, both female. I have only had them overnight and can't really say whether they are bonded and need to stay together. It may be that they can be adopted separately, but if I determine they need to stay together they will not be split up

Cats can live to be twenty years old, so don't think they are old at 12, they are not.

Pictures to come later, once they are out and about in their room

Adoption fee is only $100 per cat. For a purebred Maine Coon. Please tell your friends about them

hmmmm, Beauregard wanted Maine Coon cats a while back.....

If this was in about 4-5 months from now I would be right over...

but can't do it right now as we can't have a cat in our house right now.

We had a couple of Maine Coons when i was growing up. They were rad.

I want a cat, I just don't want to have to take care of it. I'm too lazy to feed my lizards most days and that only takes a few minutes.

That's a shame. They really are adorable girls. Still trembling a little, and the purring may be a stress purr, but there is no hissing or aggression whatsoever

Agreed, Maine Coons rule as companion cats. Regarding Maine Coon Adoptions in the East Bay. They are aware that they we have them, and they may be transferred to their program, we'll see. Until then I will do everything I can to find them the right home :) Thanks for rescuing!!

(You may not be aware but I am quite conversant with most all of the rescue groups, I am neck deep in cat rescue and shelter reform)

Where's Beau when you need him????

Leastways I think it was Beau, and cats lol I don't know, I'm old and forget shit

Thanks everyone for your kind words re MC's. Please spread the word that they are available!

Here's some pictures of these lovely girls. The pics aren't great as the cats are still a little shell shocked and prefer to hang out in enclosed beds/carriers. They are coming around though :) And at this point I am going to say they are not bonded. This could change as they settle down a little more, we'll see, but for now I think they would be fine to go to separate homes

The blonde is Cami and the tabby is Brecie. Beautiful girls

So, the brown and white tabby girl was adopted on Saturday, which leave the younger Cream and White girl looking for a home.

Please tell your friends about her. She is a pretty girl, quite outgoing once she settles in, sleeps on the bed with us and makes biscuits on me chin :)

I know, ordinarily I never separate pairs. But these two were not bonded. In fact I think separating them might be better for the both of them. It kind of hurts me to have done it, but I saw ZERO bonding behaviors. Zero. Not even when they were stupid scared when they first arrived. So yeah, it does hurt me but I am satisfied I did the right thing for them both

(lady who adopted Breezy came to adoptions looking for a kitten. Saw this beautiful girl (who it turns out is 13) and said "that's the cat for me")
