Sorry for the loss of your friend. Hate when that stuff happens.
Not the collision I saw. The one I saw was a HD (don't know their models too well, kinda looked like a big sportster) vs a late 90s/early 2000s Honda Accord. The car was backed up to the edge of the road facing the cafe but on the far/west side of the road slightly turned toward the southbound direction. The bike was laying along the center line looking like it was headed south. I think that the driver was backing out of the cafe into the road to head south when the bike hit him, but that would be hard for the rider not to see coming. That area is not one to speed through with multiple driveways, park, cafe etc right there. Nothing else really made sense considering how they were both sitting there. Unless maybe the driver moved his car after the collision.
HD front wheel was bent and the front end was fairly twisted. The car had enough dings in it I couldn't tell where the car was impacted.
I sat there waiting for about 30 minutes before I checked my phone and realized there was a small detour to take me around the part of the road that was closed.
