The cars will continue under the Toyota badge, like the Scion FR-S which will be named the Toyota F-86, the same as what they call it in other markets.

Basically a mercy killing. The brand had 2 truly good and innovative cars to it's name, and one of them should have always been badged as a Toyota anyway.

except they will keep the car lineup and just badge them as what they really are.

probably a well calculated move. Notice how the scion badge shape is the same as toyota. Should be an easy transition.

I never really got what Scion was all about but I don't think they ever made anything I was interested in so I never paid attention.
As mentioned who cares about the badge name when everyone knows its a Toyota

I'm a baby boomer and my generation had a car culture in this country. With this later generation that is gone. Many are not even driving. Car and motorcycle sales will go down with the latest generation since many of these kids don't even drive.

Audi and VW grills were looking stupid for awhile too. Fortunately they're getting better.

The worst right now is the Camry grill. Are they trying to appeal to teenagers?

I don't care how nice the scenery is in Pacific Grove, it can't make this car look good...

(But I still think it's kinda cool, in a Pontiac Aztek sorta way. :laughing)
