Tone-deaf MV Augusta - NSFW

I was surprised how out if touch the Superveloce advertisement is, given that the fastest growing demographic for new motorcycles is women.

I think this is the ad. I don't know if I want a Superveloce but I wish that I was the Superveloce used to make this. :laughing
Youtube doesn't like the way the forum links mine either. but the link works. https://youtu.be/NupSCx4pnN8

That right there. Is my next bike.

Freedom of speech as long as you don’t offend anyone right? Or are people’s rights being threatened? The people complaining about this are pathetic.

The ad certainly makes me want to ride something, but that something is not a motorcycle.

I fully believe that we all have the right to say what we think is right.

My point was that this ad is selling to a very small clientele and they should probably wake up and look at who the new generation of riders are, and what message they would buy in to.
Don't get me wrong; the woman is beautiful and the bike is a piece of art, but I don't think the message would resonate with any of the women in my life, and I think that the ad is out of touch.

the ad is aimed at men and getting them to buy said product

I understand that.
I'm old, 50 by years, lot fucking older by mileage, and it doesn't sell to me - because I know bikes, and do not pretend to know women.

Point of order. The ad is aimed at ITALIAN men.

Now, I don't know anything about Italian men, Italian culture, or Italian anything. I eat pizza and spaghetti and lasagna made in America, by Americans using American recipes and ingredients. Any facsimile these may have to Italian cuisine, I have no idea.

However.

I've seen movies.

The morons that made these ads also think that whenever two or more women get together, they're going to have a pillow fight in their underwear. Like, every time. :rolleyes

You know.... not every country has become obsessed with political correctness, and not every country - especially Italy - forgets about the days when racing motorcycles was about fast bikes, lots of money and loose women.

On top of that, some of said countries actually like that old school type of "glory" or whatever they call it.

Also, women may be the fastest growing segment in buying motorcycles - but I'm sure they're not the fastest growing segment of people buying MV Augusta's. 33% buy cruisers and another 33% buy scooters. Third is 10% with sportbikes and I don't think I'd be insane to GUESS that less than 0.5% of that 10% are buying MV Agustas.

As someone else said, this ad is obviously aimed at Italian men.

BARF police strike again. Hahaha. I'm offended!!!

The "police" aren't anyone who has an opinion different than you.

"Political correctness" isn't just about depriving one group of their joy for no good reason.

That's a gorgeous bike, a lovely girl and a very well-produced piece of film. Their creativity allowed them to do about 999 other things with their talents and they made a bee-line for "penis". It's lame, overplayed, out of touch, and just boring to a lot of us who don't find a naked chick grinding on a bike a compelling reason to buy one. The lesbian lover theme inched towards something that was maybe slightly empowering to women and instead made it another male wet dream. The ads are both featuring nothing but well-off, white, young, oversexed, attractive people too, which is a pretty exclusive club as well. I'm not a member there either. MV definitely has their eye on a very narrow market, and aside from my personal tastes, these ads feel like more like an excuse to subsidize soft porn rather than sell bikes.

Good work. Got all the buzzwords into one post. Bravo.

My opinion on the ad has nothing to do with it. I think it's stupid as the bike...
