I wanna say THANKS, MAN!
Decided to jump on the Spyder today. Hadn't ridden it for a while and she needed the work, so I mounted up and off we went. I had just gotten into the commute lane, traffic was movin pretty good and I was just chuggin along when I checked my mirrors and saw a set of double headlights. Bike! He was comin at a good pace, so I immediately slid over to the left in order to let the rider by and not hold him up.
I fully expected him to shoot by and that would be that. But instead I got a nice wave as he went by. I returned salutations, of course, and we continued on. Now this was a nice machine and the gentleman could have left me in the dust any time he wanted; but he didn't. We just kinda took up station and began to 2-ship it all the way down 101! We did some bobbin and weavin around slow guys, navigated some crazy pea soup ground fog at about the Moffet field area, and to my even greater surprise we both had to navigate some crazy trafffic to get off on the same exit!
This particular exit has these 2 right handers that can be very fun to take if there is no one in front of you. And guess what? You guessed it, it was clear, and we took those things like bosses! Well, he did anyway! :laughing I did OK and had fun too. And when we came to the next light, we exchanged a nice wave again and went our separate ways.
It was actually hella fun for a commute ride. This kind of interaction doesn't happen often, especially when I'm on the Spyder. So rider, if you are on here, thanks man. I enjoyed it. This is one of the many things I love about the motorcycle community. :thumbup
