Tioga to open, finally.

It looks like Tioga will be open for business, joining Sonora and Ebetts.

Looks like Ebbetts still has some construction going on, though.

I can only recall a few times in my life that any of the passes were closed beyond early July.

Going to be a banner year for mosquitoes with all that melting snow!

As of Tues Mosquito Lake was still mostly covered with ice :laughing
Time to think about heading to Mahogany Smoked Meats in Bishop for some jerky and a sandwich. mmm

Open sorta kinda! I thought about going but with a one-hour open window it may be a cluster up there. Info below from NPS Yosemite site.

Yosemite National Park announces there will be limited access to Tioga Road (Highway 120 East) for visitors interested in crossing the Sierra. Tioga Road will be open to all vehicles, including bicycles, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. No parking will be allowed on Tioga Road and day use recreation is not permitted. There is no visitor parking available at either end of the road closure.

There are no visitor services available along Tioga Road. The Tuolumne Meadows Visitor Center, Wilderness Center, and the Tuolumne Meadows Campground remain closed. Opening dates for the 2019 season have not been determined. Restroom facilities will be available 5 miles east of Crane Flat Junction and at Tioga Pass.

Wow just barely opening I'd have to of waited this long to cross over if I was doing the CABDR now, then it'd be super hot in the desert areas '
