Thunderstorm May 6 & 7

Man i've always had that stigma about a wasted motorcycle track day because of rain, never actually having ran one. Actually in 10 years of tracking cars (been riding for just the last 1.5yr) i had just one rainy day and it was ridiculously fun... thats not counting hundreds of rain and hurricane drift session i had back in FL. Anyways i can't begin to describe how much fun my buddies and I had at Thill yesterday (monday) :wtf

Yeah, plus we ran B- B+ and A groups back to back. To back. Got in the equivalent of 11 sessions until i could no longer hold up my head. Just drove through the pits after a session, got the thumbs-up and kept on going! Stopped raining (not drizzling!) around 3pm. 3-5pm got dryer and dryer, faster and faster. I was glad that there were more than 4-5 of us at the track.

Hoping to post Gopro footage of the MANY oh **** moments pictures and more.

Dito got some sweet shots - he offered a good deal on the CD since he left at noon. I'm on Red/White Konica Minolta Honda with red/white leathers.

Tuesday DRY

With so many guys going home due to the rain you all had Monday, we only had about 65 total riders on Tuesday. Just two groups again....after 7 30 minute sessions I had had it with my thighs cramping up as I got off my bike...that was a full hour and ten minutes more than you would get in a full day with 20 minute sessions and the guys that were in shape still got another session in. Great day! Skies were threatening, but never a drop.

Tuesday was great. Dropped my times about 5 seconds with best of 2:09. I was dead tired though after lunch and skipped the last two sessions...

Had a blast on Monday. It was my first track day. The bummer of a wet morning ended up being great because it cleared a lot of people out for the afternoon. Got to ride double sessions with B- and B+ too.

I think I might know you etxxz.

Can't wait until the next one.
