Thunderhill 4.47 mile facts and video

Had a fantastic time riding the 5 mile track with Keigwins on Tuesday. I was so tired on Wednesday it's not even funny. Everything hurt. Thirty minute sessions really helped with learning the new track, but also beat me up physically. I was running my Qstarz GPS lap timer and got some interesting data. For example: It's really 4.47 miles when you're on the racing line. There are three different 30 mph corners on the new track (slower than any turn on the old track). You can hit 130 going down the hill from the old track onto the new. A buck-twenty is possible on the front straight of the new track. There aren't really an esses on the new track. If you look at the GPS track, all the esses are fairly straight on a motorcycle. The transition from old track to new is almost impossible not to wheelie off of.

Most fun I've had at the track in years. If you have some good video, feel free to post it. Here are 2 different camera angles of the new track:

Great video Dan ... Can you share the map (BIN file) with me so we could include it in our QstarZ database and distribute it to other users.
