Three Special Little Tabby Kittens Looking For A New Home

John and I currently have three little foster kittens who are looking for a new home. There are two little boys, Pudding Pie and Pot Roast, and one little girl, Dolly Dumpling

Pot Roast is a stunning silver tabby with wonderful markings, but he is extremely shy and needs a patient and understanding adopter. Roastie was on medications for two weeks (kitty cold, issue resolved) and he got a bit distressed with all the handling being about medicines :( He is coming around, but still is the most shy of the three

Dolly Dumpling is a stunningly beautiful brown and cream tabby, and although she was the first one to be very friendly, she's had a few medical issues (kitty cold, ear infection, resolved) that required her to have daily medications for three weeks, and it upset her little soul. She is on the road to recovery emotionally, but still needs a patient adopter

Pudding Pie is a handsome brown / cream /grey tabby who is the most outgoing of the three. He was also on medications for a kitty cold (resolved) and the treatments didn't seem to upset him emotionally. He is always the first to come over for attention. He can be a bit of a nipper, but we are training this out of him :)

All three are fixed, dewormed and have had their first round of shots. Adopter will be responsible for completing the course of vaccinations, and responsible for getting them micro-chipped. They were born approximately August 1st 2016

They are a cute little bunch who deserve to find happiness in a new home. We rescued them from the Antioch shelter (certain death) and their little brother Tiny Dancer didn't make it :cry

Because we want this little family to all go home together, there are NO adoption fees (to qualified, approved adopters). That's right. No adoption fees.

We may consider adopting them out separately, but the conditions need to be right, so if you are only interested in one please still reach out to me and we can chat. Located in Concord and you are more than welcome to come visit them here

Please share the word about these babies.

Thanks Cootz, they really are adorable little buggers who were dealt a really bad start in life. Antioch "shelter" to my friend where she kept them in a cage, then to me where they are free in a spare room. Then all the medications, trips to the vet, poor little souls are upset

But, Operation Extreme Rehabilitation is in full force now lol. What is this you ask? Baby food, spoon fed. Petting with free hand while they eat so that they come to learn hands bring good things. Dinner can only be eaten from the bowl on my lap. They have to come get it. Petting while they eat :) We'll bring them around. We haven't failed a shy nervous kitten yet!!!

:bump for these little tykes who are getting overlooked :( They are six months old now and adorable little munchkins who really need a new home

As you know John and I foster a lot of cats, but we can't help any more kittens until these guys find a home. And kitten season is fast approaching - if it isn't already here

They might do well as indoor/outdoor cats as they have a bit of an independent streak and are VERY high energy

If you know of anyone looking to adopt, please spread the word about these three

Thanks!

Adopting in packs is nice. Although I think cats do OK on their own, I took on two at the same time this last time. I'm away from the house a lot. I think they genuinely like being together most of the time. They're often in the same room when I come home, and sometimes in the same bed. They're not litter mates either. My gutter-snipes are now 4 years old and pretty cool. One of them is indoor only and the other is indoor/outdoor, so they can be really different and it still works--for anyone wondering! This set-up should roll pretty smooth, even though there's three of 'em.

Thanks Heather :)

It seems no-one is interested in six month old kittens :( Everyone wants a three month old (which is the earliest any kitten should be adopted out) and they are holding out until there are some available

These poor little tykes are adorable, and it breaks my heart that no-one is even remotely interested in them

I got one of mine when she was 4 months, and the other one was 6 months +. Honestly, I would never have little kittens. You know more about what they're going to be like when they're older, so older is better in my opinion! 6 months is perfect. You get a sense of what they're like, but they're still very playful, if that's your thing. It's a shame that everyone thinks that you need to get something young to imprint upon it. Give them a lot of play and love, establish a pattern with sleep and feeding, and they'll get attached soon enough, no matter what the age. :thumbup

Ive got three cats already (5yrs, 4yrs, 9mnths). Three more tips the scales full on into crazy cat guy territory.

I HATED cats. Was dogs or nothing. Now I love the bastards! So much personality, so easy to care for, so little barking. Best companions.

I actually prefer cats to be a BIT shy. Its fine if they hide under a chair for awhile if there is an noise or stranger. A receipt crinkling or paper bag or box will coax them out into fun soon enough. A kibble or two during play is all the better.

My heart breaks for these little tinkers :( Everyone wants a 12 week old kitten. Not a six month old kitten :( Which is only about 26 weeks old. Maybe I should say they are 26 weeks old, not 6 months

They are cute, funny, feisty, playful, loving. Darling little creatures. But they are six months old and tabbies, and people say "Oh, I want a cute cat" meaning Siamese, or Calico, or a fluffy scruffy. Not a tabby.

get it while it's easy

we have 4 cats that all live in the garden (with little heated houses lol). we've been trying for years, but can't get any of them to come in the house. wanting a house cat, late last year we adopted 2 cats - a 3 year old and a 4 year old. they are not related to each other, but lived together previously, and are good friends that we were very happy to keep together. it was great for us as we were worried about having an only cat, and it getting lonely and bored during the day when we are at work; and great for them as they got to stay together as buddies. we have video surveillance inside of our house, and i love watching them play and cuddle when we are away.

Thanks Heather :)

i'm one of those that doesn't care for kittens. a year is the youngest i would consider, and i prefer 2-3 or more years old. i can't really put my finger on why, but my response to those who have said it's strange is that the kitten stage is short lived so what is the point of dwelling on it. i like them better when their personalities are more developed, and they've moved past being a rambunctious little bundle of teeth and claws.

in any event - i also do have a huge soft spot for tabbies. they seem universal in their beauty, wonderful personalities, overall health and longevity, and their adorable, affectionate natures. 4 of my 6 are tabbies.

am sending my best wishes that some very lucky family comes along to adopt these little darlings. and many thanks to you and john for all you do for the kitties. you both have hearts of gold.

if we didn't adopt two kittens 11 months ago, we would be all over it! actually, I'm glad that my wife isn't on BARF... or she would have sneaked these home already! :laughing
