Aaaaaargh! Please share your secrets on disconnecting these things.

Patience. Always patience. Always work to use fingernail first. Then small screwdriver or dental pick. I can usually get 90-95% of them by hand, or quickly with a dental pick. The remaining few are harder.

When you put them back together lube the plug ( male part) with silicon grease. It will come apart so much easier next time.

Douse it with a silicone spray. Then wiggle and force the ends together a bit before you try to push/pull the release and pull the ends apart.
