Those of you who put IM nickname in your profiles... WHY?

OK, this is kinda one of those 'damn, it's getting on toward bedtime' random thoughts.. but hell, sometimes those are good for at least a few pages of BS I mean 'discussion'...

Now, for those of us who use IM (Yahoo, AIM, MSN, etc), why did you include it in your BARF profile?

I have mine in, but I'm not using that ID while at work. (Don't ask.) I figure, hey, if someone wants to get hold of me, they can ping me a message... but that usually gets done using the forum's private message function anyway.

To this day, JTT will randomly IM me and ask me shit. Leave me alone you freak!

I originally put it up back in the day when we were all playing dope wars and shit together and had that pimpass BARF cartel and we were bustin' fools up :cool :troy

I put it up incase there is a BARF emergency. I actually have 3 or 4 Yahoo IM names but put up the one I have so I can keep my "real" one for personal use.

i pu tmine up when I first joined, saw no harm..then an hour later I got an IM, guess from who.

I took it down for a while, but then put it back up, you can always "ignore" someone if they are bothering you. But for the most part there hasnt been ay problems because of it. And IM is so much faster than PMing.
