So if they’re classifying it as a “drone” that pretty much makes it completely useless around here since you’re not allowed to operate a drone within 5 miles of any airport.

Looks like a great way to kill yourself and everyone else in close proximity.

:laughing The first mental image that came to mind was one of these losing control and flying right into the people waiting for help, with horrendous results.

On the positive side, it's sooo quiet......not.

Outside of the unprotected props (which seems ridiculous even at the prototype stage), any sort of drone type levitation device will unleash clouds of dust and debris making them essentially useless in any sort of crowded environment.

the whole "Urban Air Mobility" crowd is really forgetting that we have helicopters that do a much better job and have the regulatory structure in place to keep these folks wishing for a while. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of your own air taxi however dealing with the FAA often, the lobbying efforts required to bring this on a mass scale are ridiculously far-fetched right now.
