Saw a documentary about 10 years ago where they talked about the huge asteroid hitting down off of Mexico and causing a catastrophic event that led to the end of the dinosaurs.
Perhaps the title should be 'The moment that doomed the dinos'.
And there's talk of creating a program to monitor and knock these asteroids off their earthly collision path. We couldn't do shit all about redirecting a 6 mile wide rock.
Imagine though just walking around and looking down you see something that looks like a fossil and realizing what you see is a moment in time when much of life on the planet died or was in that process.
Lucky for us there are people who can see such things and tell a story to the rest of us that almost paints a movie. Hats off to those who pursue these things.
I completely agree, and the stories are amazing, but I do feel like every six months or so the story changes with pretty much the same evidence to tell their version of the story.
