Think what you will of me, but dudeshouldn't be dropping all that cash on junk for kids on a made up holiday to keep retailers wealthy if he's poor.

I went into Kmart a few weeks ago. I bought something worth about 4 dollars. The clerk asked me if I wanted to open a Sears card, then asked if I wanted the extended warranty, then asked if I wanted to apply for something else. I was baffled. She asked the same questions of everyone in line. She was obviously told to ask these questions. For four dollars? A Sears Card at KMART?

I was so irritated by this complete lack of customer awareness that I refuse to shop at Kmart.

Sears owns Kmart, so that's no surprise.

$4 purchase, they are wasting too much time on you. Maybe even lost money on your transaction :)

It's always great to hear about these stories around the holiday season. It warms my heart and gives me a smile. So this guy , thanks for news coverage, has made me happier too.

What ever drives people to practice random acts of compassion is fine by me.
