The Harley Pan America Thread

Ehh... Self adjusting suspension seems like an expensive problem long term....

It's novel on a motorcycle to be sure, I certainly wouldn't suggest it won't be flawless, but we've had electronic suspensions on bikes for a while (not necessarily on the fly dynamic suspension), but folks have been able to tweak things on the road.

In cars, they're downright routine. My Jeep has ride height adjustment with air suspension. It lowers on parking, I can raise it for off road, it'll lower a bit at speed, and it levels the vehicle after a trailer is hooked up.

It's been pretty much flawless for 7 years.

Here's more from Cycle World on the differences between the standard and the special. Too much wizbang for this old fart. I wonder about Harley's training for their techs. This would require a whole new skill level that I doubt the average Harley tech could handle. I know I wouldn't know where to start when all that crap misfunctions. The old axiom "Build it, and it will break" comes to mind.
