There was a time when I use to enjoy M. night's movies but lately he has been putting together garbage. First 10 minutes of the movie were insteresting and part where that jeep wrangler ran into the tree after stopping briefly. But besides that the whole movie was a freaking drag and totally pointless. I can appreciate new ideas and thoughts but trees attacking the whole world starting from all the parks releasing harmful toxins..come on now.

His movies have been going down hill since Lady in the water..

My vote goes to sixth sense and I don't think he will ever make anything better than that. :thumbdown

yeah, watching marky mark trying to play a serious character is something that shouldn't happen. :)

The ending sucked too.

Yes his movies make about as much sense as putting in a new indian restaurant in sunnyvale.

I agree. He peaked with his first movie and just went steadily downhill from there. I don't get excited about his movies any more.

why did it suck? what was the message behind the movie? People keep saying it had a religious or political message or something.

most of the movie is blah.
Betty Buckley did a great job as the crazy old lady. I think it's worth a matinee just to see her work.

Actually I liked the movie. It had a 50's quirkiness to it that made it funny. Juxtaposed with the subject matter, to me, it made for an enjoyable film, not exactly an original idea. The one thing I didnt like was the overtly 'environmental' tact they took, though I guess it was somewhat unavoidable.
