Whatever that means
My assumption would be they are already working on the R&D for it, and have been. They would be foolish to not be. They looked at ChAdeMO in like.. 2016 I think? Gave up due to inconsistency in charging station systems that were being put out IIRC, which made development near impossible.

I think the limitation is more placed on their current battery partner ferasi. If they cant make a high voltage pack that meets specs and pricepoint for zero there wont be fast charging.

I would think that all components meet at least 600V insulation standards if not 1000V and any voltage configuration up to that is a non-issue.

After talking to the Zero community, some being former employees at Zero, I believe the limited system was the controller. A higher voltage system is just more cells in series instead of parallel, right?

Yeah that's right the controller is only rated to work at certain voltages. So they'd need a controller than can handle higher voltages.

Series = more voltages, parallel = more amp hours (capacity)

Hate it when you electric bike is dead in the water and no charging station in site?

They have portable DC fastchargers now.

Cool idea - at least to get you to the next charger.

Although each photo on their website shows the device on the ground as if the tow guy assembled it next to the car. I would hate to lug around a 17.5kW battery, even if modular lol. Talk about a workout lifting those things.

Eric and I had a wonderful Alta ride today at Hollister. We did all the Renz.
It was pretty slippery, but the electric power delivery lacking the impulses of combustion sure makes it more enjoyable.

It was all very quiet too.
Good times.

You've got a couple choices:
Alta
Sur Ron
Cake
Zero
KTM

No, I mean dirt bikes. Alta is dead, the rest are dual sports. The KTM Freeride and soon to be released Sur Ron are 3/4 sized dirt bikes. But nobody is making anything like the Alta right now.

I'm looking to buy a Beta in 2 years when my truck payment is up. Coulda been an electric bike if there were multiple companies competing against each other to evolve their products. The only company who has offered anything of the quality of an ICE bike is Alta.

Zero FX?

I wouldn't consider the Zero FX a dirtbike. But a lot of people seem to use them for that - which is impressive haha.

I saw these two Zero employees were racing 2 Zero MMX at a Hollister hare scramble couple years ago. If they could finish the race on that course then they are definitely dirt bikes. The MMX is basically a military version of the FX, with the chain kit I guess.
