Meh... this isn't a general release firmware. By the time it goes out to the public most of those issues will be fixed.

Pretty crazy how far ahead Tesla is compared to other manufacturers.

Unfortunately, the average human driver will always remain in beta. The death rate of the human driver, as well as other preventable deaths, goes mostly ignored because because its "normal".

Note: "electrified," not "electric." I'm guessing the decline in diesel sales is due to the VW scandal?

That and increasingly stringent EU emissions standards making it harder and hard t get diesel vehicles to pass emissions and still be economical.

I believe the EU market is also planning on phasing out all ICE vehicle sales by 2030 so I would expect to see a rapid upswing in electric vehicles.

That's correct. It was made clear in the Reddit thread.

VW's scandal did not help, but I thought with "ad blue" fluid injection, Diesel could be clean enough, but not with the MPG and performance as VW advertised. I always thought VW's specs were fishy.

I had a '13 Jetta TDI and I absolutely loved that car. It got 45mpg and 700 mile range no matter if I was in stop and go or doing 80mph. My wife felt betrayed by VW and we ended up selling the car back. In our 3 years of ownership, it only cost us $3k. So not a bad deal afterall.

That is a good deal for you VW got what they deserved and that is why VW has the highest debt to revenue ratio of any of the big automakers.

Thankfully, VW is taking a page form Tesla and introducing a bunch of really nice EVs (ID3, ID4, ect).
