I named one after Mean Dad (only because while cutting them free I accidentally snipped a little off the top of one jelly's...err.. Moon?) :p

I hear they regenerate. No worries :smoke

I'll post a video soon :D

Got them from jellyfishart.com and supplemented from other sites. Let's see how this goes!

Had to look it up - sea boogers.... What will you do when it's bigger than you?

How big is that tank? Is looks small. Is it hard to keep a small salt water tank going? We have a 55 gal fresh water tank that my wife cleans about every other week. What's it like to keep that tank healthy?

Looks like a living lava lamp. Very cool. Whenever I go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I spend a ton of time just staring at the jellies.

It's only 2 gallons and water changes are 25% weekly and 50% monthly. Some maintenance with water treatment and filtering but nothing as intense as your tank. We may get snails if here is algae and we will monitor levels of ph, salinity, nitrites, etc.

This thing is mesmerizing. :thumbup

Interesting. I'm not a tank expert by any means but what I have been told is that it's actually easier to keep a bigger tank. The thinking goes that a bigger tank is more forgiving because the volume of water will buffer any mistake you make in Ph, temperature, nitrates or in your case salinity. I would imagine a 2 gallon tank has to be kept near perfect all the time and that would be hard. I dunno maybe jellys are more tolerant of temp and salinity changes then fish would be. Please keep us posted.
