Tank swap for 1992 ninja zx600d?

Bought a new rat bike and I'm trying to get it running. It's all good to go except the tank was rusted out and I'm looking for a used one or some type of other alternative. Anyone have any type of experience with this bike and know a tank that would fit it from a different model or would take a small amount of fab work to make it fit? Been hunting around for answers but its few a far between for this year and model.

2004 zzr600 is basically the same bike. I believe its numerical designation is ZX600K. and many years in between are the same. As late as 3years ago I ordered new oem parts from kawasaki. you should be able to find a tank for it.

Incidentally, I loved that bike. Very comfortable, fast enough and regularly got 52 mph.

I would bet that a zx6e would fit. Almost identical bikes. The 6E morphed into the 04 zzr600 and was produced for about 10 years. It was an upgrade of the D model.
