I went to the Vallejo Kaiser, and my assigned Ortho just didnt seem to care. I was recommended to another ortho by a friend in Vacaville who was highly spoken of, but when I emailed my primary to complain about my current ortho and wanted to switch, they just gave me more attention instead of just letting me switch. Whatevs, as long as it heals strong I guess :dunno
my assigned Ortho just didn't seem to care.
Sounds like another motorcycle hating Orthopedic surgeon. I got this runaround too, & went thru 4 Ortho's until I found one that was sympathetic to me & my injury regardless of cause.
I've said this many times, realize many doctors regardless of specialty, don't like motorcyclists. Orthopedic surgeons especially. NEVER tell them you hurt yourself riding a motorcycle.
Say, "I was skiing, surfing, rock climbing, riding a bicycle, etc."
This will keep you out of the discrimination eye toward motorcyclists. If the injury is bad enough, course you gotta tell them. But if it's one minor break, like the collarbone, say you were playing
Rugby, or soccer, or something equally similar & less threatening.
Believe me, I went down a 4 year road of a useless shoulder, & 4 docs who didn't care, until I finally found this guy (European born) who didn't discriminate against riders, &
got me use of my shoulder back after a surgery the others wouldn't do. It works...:thumbup
