Darn, would be fun to run that combo in 250 Superbike. There’s always 300s with blown engines for cheap on Craigslist.

I bought a guys whole 250 "race program" a few years back. So many spare parts, 3 frames, extra fairings, etc. I could rebuild this bike 3 times over and still have pieces left. Im enjoying figuring out how to keep a 20+ year old bike competitive. Turns out the 1st gen Ninja 250 is not that different from the 2nd gen Ninja 250 or even the Ninja 300.

yeah, 88-07 = 2nd-gen aka pregen
08-12 = 3rd-gen aka newgen

The pregens had about +10% more power than later model. I'd say put 250 engine back in so you can be in Superbike. Then build up engine using ZX6R pistons and rods for 338cc and +50bhp and beat up on Ninja 400s. Those 400s put down surprising upset at round-1 (1:54 range), faster than SV650! :)

Point #1 Round one 2019 the rulebook attached to registration allowed formula bikes to race Superbike

Point #2 AFM at the event is confused about there own rulebook and doesn't have a 2019 rule book

Point #3 AFM DQ's riders for signing up according the AFM's rulebook at registration

Point #3 AFM (who ever they are creating rules) doesn't have the courtesy to admit the situation and have a conversation about the rules

Would somebody please pick up the phone at the AFM and call me or come have a conversation at the race about changes and inquiries? I don't get it
