Time magazine gave some info.. NASA and Boeing developing this.

Article claims 99.99 lighter than previous (solid) Aluminum.

Shows a picture of the microscopic structure.

Doesn't seem possible to me... Anyone know more?

I think it is possible. Honeycomb already exists and is quite strong. It is just a question of coming up with a manufacturing process. The cost to manufacture it might be too high to make it practical.
