Just bought a fine 2004 Honda 919 with a great trade in on my 2001 Suzuki 500GS from Motojava (plug!), and on a 30 mile roundtrip ride, substantially on 280 see that a small windshield might be a good thing, but I don't want to mess up a most excellent naked bike. suggestions?

I favor mounts that are especially designed for quick and easy, on -- then off.

Nakid for weekdays commute work, and if you're actually going somewhere...
A couple minutes of put a wind shield on that actually does that job, on the highway.

Harley has a sweet one on the FXR convertible ....The name convertible is..because it converts.

You know, about a hundred years ago Nemo gave me a windscreen from a 919 for my 599. I couldn't get it to work. Let me see if I can dig it out and I'll pass it on.

Thanks, all, if ThumperX finds that windscreen, that'll be super cool, and if not, I will check with the suggestions. By the way, the 919 has been way smooth, i'll see what it is in the rain tomorrow!

gone for now
I have an SV rather than a Honda, but I have a small factory flyscreen on it that works pretty well. There's certainly still wind on me, but it's significantly less than without the flyscreen.

Nobody has suggested a windjammer? I'll be back in a minute with the pic. But seriously, givi and F-16 (or is it called National Cycle) have a ton of universal windshields of varying shapes and sizes. But appearances seem to be inversely related to effectiveness.

Seriously though, this one http://www.aviciouscycle.ca/mainpages/productpage.aspx?productid=1573 would probably be pretty effective at blocking the wind and in my opinion, wouldn't compromise the looks too much

Naked enthusiastic
you looking for a factory one or a "real" windshield, cause mine factory one act more like a fashion accessories. If you want can order one from Honda, or go ebay to look for cheaper ones.

Are we having fun yet?
After having 10 bikes from fully naked to various fairing sizes, including 2 different sizes Givi screens, I would either stay naked (or the stock short screen on a sportbike) for clean air in the spring/summer/fall, or to have a huge fairing that comes up to near eye-level for the winter. Above 50 mph, the mid-sized fairings all tend to generate lots of turbulence and noise at the helmet level.
