Stupid Pratfall

Hehe, ok, lets keep hitting old posts:

Your front wheel lifted slightly. I dont think this would happen at 30 mph from normal road wrinkles. Seems likely to be caused by too much throttle. If the road had some slippery fluid on it, this would make your rear tire spin out from under you. If the rear spun out, the bike would also SPIN while sliding. Did this occur? Or did the bike just fall over and slide without spinning (fast) which would indicate more that the front gave way, and also seem to be a slippery surface.

What kind of tires were you running? Street tires? Take offs? New tires? Was it a very cold day? Was it wet outside?

One day, I got on my bike, started to ride, stopped to check all my pockets were zippered, thought about where I needed to go, started again, stopped a few yards later at a stop sign, turned right, gave it a littlle too much gas, and found myself on my ass, the bike sliding and spinning clockwise away from me. It had been a cold cold cold day, the tires were take offs, and I was distracted by shit I needed to do instead of focusing on being onna bike.

To avoid this, maybe don't try to overtake a car turning right into your lane in front of you in future.
