I haven't heard anything about what Dogfeathers posted, that absolutely sucks. Bad enough we don't have good places close to ride, with that behavior we won't have any places close to ride...Senseless.

No mention at all of a bunch of riders going up there the week before, trashing the place, riding in areas that were closed, tearing down ribbons and signs asking off roaders to stay out. Speeding up and down the residential part of the road from Stonyford to the camping area despite all the signs the locals have posted next to the road to slow down. Lett’s Lake camping area was all thrashed and ripped up too.
I heard from two forest service people up there and a retired FS guy who used to be in charge of the OHV area and they are pissed about how the riders just ran rough shod over the area just because there was no staffing during that time to keep an eye on things.
I bought land up near there ten years ago because of the great riding and the out of town riders consistently piss off the locals with the “screw them, I came here to have fun at all costs” attitude.
Why do so many idiots who ride motorcycles continually shit in our own nest and then bitch about not having a place to ride or having to travel so far to go play with ORV’s?
I remember being able to ride off road in or very near the Bay Area until the idiots and loud pipes arrived. Heck, snake and horse lovers are not the worst enemy. Once again, we are the worst enemy.

Heading to Thunderhill for a trackday think I'll head to Stony after and take the Light Bee with me. How is paying for the campground is it just grab one of dem envelopes and drop the money in a box type thing? I've only gone for StonyBARF group camping.

Oof 100+F least I won't be freezing at night =(

I guess ride in the morning come back chillout recharge battery till the temps go down and do a later ride =/
