Stockton Closed Indefinitely!

It is with regret that I am informing everyone that the Stockton Motorplex Park will be closing for an undetermined amount of time. The owner was attempting to sell it and as of recent no deal had been made. Until such time where the track can change ownership, we will be closed for Motorcycle practice and all other events.

I won't go into specifics regarding the sale but for anyone out there who is interested in owning a track please contact Chris Ranuio at 209-595-2200. I will say that the asking price is very low (under 50k last I heard).

If anything changes in the near future I will be sure to let everyone know. Please let everyone you know about out current status.

Thanks to all that have made the last 10 years such a great time, hopefully this is not over yet.

Matt:(

Holy crap! I'm sorry to hear this Matt. Hopefully someone will step up and purchase the track...and keep it supermoto friendly. Best wishes to you and the family. Thank you for all you do.

Whatever that means
I'm gonna talk to the owner and see what the overhead is. If he owns the property or is leasing and when the lease is up.
If I can get a loan and everything looks doable ill save stockton.

Thanks to everyone who made it possible. I had many a great day out there but sadly I haven't been out to support/ride there in 4 years.

I hope someone keeps it going for the next generations of SM hooligans, The bay area is short on tracks to play on.

Maybe we can move it to Alameda ;-)

Bummer!

Stockton is awesome, fun track and chill atmosphere. Even though I haven't been out in over a month (lots of race weekends lately) hopefully things will get sorted before too long. This track is great in the winter, the grippy asphalt works great even when it is cold or damp.

Matt - thanks for your efforts in keeping this track available for bikes.

:( I'm glad I made it out for one more go on Monday.

Thank you for all of your efforts and support over the years, Matt. I started minimoto there, and had a lot of fun racing and learning.

Dang, Matt. Best times I ever had on a motorcycle.

Great working with you guys and racing there. Tell Chris we're all grateful for the opportunity to ride a very unique niche of motorcyle riding. Thanks for everything.

Over the years I think I must have taken 30 noobs for thier virgin losin' rides, crashed between 35 and 45 times, broke at least 3 bones and 4 bikes, got taken out by a little girl, and wore out at least 25 sets of tires, but the thing that I think about most is the great people I met. At least one of them is no longer with us.

Matt, you were the quintisential racetrack host. Thanks for putting up with me back in the early days when I complained too much and knew too little. At least I've stopped complaining! :laughing

Now everybody call your rich riding pal$ and work something out, it's not a lot of money...

Daaang. This is a bummer to hear. I lost my supermoto cherry and forever changed the way I ride and perceive motorcycles at Stockton.

'O.K. ...well, goodbye!'
I can't believe this. Ugh :( So sad. I've had a lot of fun there. Didn't get to go nearly as much as I liked. Would be awesome to have it re-open. Was looking forward to taking my nephew there in the future.
