Hi all,

I'm going to T-Hill this wknd and looking for advise on staying cool during the projected 104 degree heat. I don't have AC other than my truck and besides plenty of shade and water, what else have people done?

Thx in advance!

Shade and water and electrolytes (salt). Soak your shirt and the bandana around your neck before each session and you should be good:ride

Also, the clubhouse is usually open and has leather couches and AC if you get heat exhaustion symptoms and need to cool down asap:thumbup

the heat can do a number on your appetite and cause u to not eat. ull need calories, electrolytes, and other nutrition to feel good throughout the day. so make sure to eat.

drinking something other than straight water can help. Gu, Scratch, Nuun, etc. itll all work some, esp if u have a problem eating. im currently a fan of Gu Roctane cuz of the added BCAAs. plus, this can help u from overhydrating if you obsessively keep drinking.

i keep a wet towel in the drink cooler with ice for my neck and i make sure to keep my undersuit wet.

i essentially use all my cycling supplements at the racetrack too. baking in the sun for 8hrs on a bicycle isnt that much different than a trackday.

Good stuff. Thanks for the cycling reference stangmx13. I do a bit of MTB but, not so much when its hot. I'll try some of the GU.

For me, it's water and coconut water in between sessions. I also suck down those little Gatorade goo squeeze things a couple times a day.

Portable shade and one of those cooling towels with cold water does the trick.
