I know everyone, including me has Star Wars on two or more different types of media, but Mr. Lucas needs to eat. So who's buying the very final version of Star Wars The Complete Saga on Blu-Ray, at least until the 3D version comes out? :mag

It's being released on Sept 16th for the low, low price of $89.99.

Steee-riiike!
there's no "yes, I will get it once it is released" option. I am not going to pre-order...f that.

but yeah, I'll be getting it no doubt.

Star Wars and Lord of the Rings...are there any things better in life? doubtful.

Does Greedo shoot first in this one?

Yes, but now you see him shoot first in glorious, living intensity. :laughing

I have the orgiginal on VHS, but the video is a little grainy.

We'll buy them anyway. I'll get that out of the way.

All the Star Wars movies will be out on Blu-Ray in 2011, said George Lucas at Star Wars Celebration.

But wait! It's the 1997 special editions, not the theatrical editions. The quality of the originals is, Lucas said, "not very good."

So we will see Greedo shoot first in glorious, living intensity.

It'll be like Jar Jar is right there in your living room.

All six movies will come out on blu-ray in a set. This seems like an oversight. Did Lucas intend for us to only pay him once?

There will be some new stuff in the set. A never-seen scene with Luke building a lightsaber in Return of the Jedi was shown at Celebration. That sent everyone into full omega -- spaz.

But Mark Hammill says in this interview that's not him as Luke in the scene.

Come on, Mark Hamill. Own it. Even if it's not you, say it's you. We haven't heard from any extra claiming that it's really him. So claim it.

Be Luke Skywalker. One more time. In a thing you didn't do 30 years ago.

Greedo looked like a stone-cold killer in new footage and he didn't back off from it. Be like Greedo.

You guys are lame.

the only reason to get it it on blu-ray is for the sound effects. George Lucas does a snazzy effects movie.
