Sport bike schools around the world?

I live in Alaska, and want to take a week to go to the "lower 48" and go to a race bike/superbike school of some sort- and it doesn't matter where in the US I go (or Europe for that matter- I have spent less than 400 bucks sometimes on cheap tickets to Europe) to get the best "bang for the buck" beginner sportbike schools?

I need it to include gear and bike, you know, coming from Alaska and all- though, maybe not gear, I will know soon (doing lots of OT, might buy myself a good , but not uber-expensive new set of racing togs)

I notice most of them on-line are 2 day classes, seems pretty steep for 2K most of the classes, with bike and all. Course, insurance is not cheap for them I am sure!

None of them seem to really say exactly how much time you get on the track, how much time you spend in the class room?

I am thinking second week in August?

I really wanted Laguna Seca for obvious reasons, but I don't think they have anything in that time frame for me.

Suggestions? Experainces? Coupons?

CM,
I just got back from a 2 day at Freddie Spencers' school and I would definitely recommend it.
It is pricey, expecially when you add in airfare, hotels, food, but I'm glad I went.
Unless you are some kind of savant you will become a faster and safer rider. Even if you think you're fast, these guys regularly coach top riders, and will make you better.
I wasn't counting laps but my guess is we did 75 to 100 laps on 2 different tracks over 2 days. I was concerned going in about actual time on the track but since each lap, each corner actually, is an exercise is seemed like a very good mix of instruction and practice. It was challenging but alot of fun.
I was surprised at how many of the students were repeat customers, with some there for a 3rd, 4th , and 5th time. So I think that says something about the value.
I don't know about Vegas in August :wow you might want to check them out at Miller Sportspark in Utah.
They are big proponents of body position, trail braking, and smoooth brake and throttle control.

Hope that helps!

big help , got links to that Utah one? Really good because we have cheapest airfare to Salt lake now rather than Seattle or LA like it used to be!
