Sport Bike Night at Q Cafe in Palo Alto Monday night April 15th!

Monday night April 15th will be the monthly Sportbike Night Event in Palo Alto! It's at the "Q Cafe on 529 Alma Street (650) 322-3311.

Jason, an AFM racer has agreed to hold a very special Sportbike night at this restaurant/nightclub!

There will be local motorcycle venders on hand, give-away prizes, and race bikes on display and motorcycle videos playing on their TVs.

This month will feature:

RKA luggage-Awesome luggage from these people!
Moto Italiana from San Mateo will be showing their vintage Italian motorcycles!
La Mota Vita will be showing their wares too!

There will be motorcycle only parking at the front of the Q Cafe!

Doc Wong will be there speaking on riding techniques and other topics!

This is organized by Doc Wong (http://www.docwong.com) who also puts together motorcycle classes (riding techniques, maintenance tips, etc). I went to the first one and it was very cool.

I went to the SBNite at Q Cafe last year. It was pretty cool. LOTS of bikes and some vendors showcasing their stuff (couldn't buy anything...just a chance to talk to them about their products).

They do have some pool tables in the back.

Don't know if they're doing it again, but last time they had a free raffle...everyone that walked in got a free raffle ticket (I think the prize was a pair of motorcycle gloves). You had to be present to win and they didn't do the raffle until 9PM.

Its getting better, thanks. Though in the morning its always fun to reach for the alarm and realize I shouldn't have used that arm Interesting way to wake up

yeah the first sportbike night was arranged by jason and myself. the bummer was the whole september 11th thing that coincidentally landed on the same day as the event. i was kinda bummed the whole night and appreciated everyone who attended. the vendors were calling asking if they should show and i told em it was still a go and was glad i did. however, if anyone runs into bin laden, kick his ass for everyone else and we'll make a monthly event of that as well. aaah, that was such a sad night. sportbikes all over but the energy was kid of lost through everything that happened that day. i owe many thanks to all those who showed and to all of the vendors and speakers like doc wong that made the most out of it as well. the doc, jason and everyone else including the participants is what made it a success. Thanks to - AND cycles, Fastline Cycles, Redwood Honda, Juan Lindo and his company Zooni Leathers, Streetfighters USA, Braking USA and the fellow AFM racers; )

Juan Lindo who makes Zooni leathers is really cool. I dropped my pants (not down) off over there this week to get some work done.

If you are in the market for some custom fit leathers, he is the guy to see. Or, if you need some repairs, he and his assistant do a fine job.
He used to be the taylor for Helimot, so you know he does great stuff.
Tell him Augidawg sent you, and he will only add an additional 25% to your bill.

I was there

I was there for the first one Hitjohn... I felt like crap the whole time, but tried to make the best out of it. It was pretty cool though, if anyone isn't sure if they want to go trust me, you'll have a good time. Just hanging out with all of us cool people from the Forum should be reason enough!
