It's always appropriate to ride within one's skill level but please everyone keep in mind that we are in the midst of a health crisis where there are few available ICU beds in much of the Bay Area. Do everything in your power to not need one of them.
This X2
We just cancelled a group ride as we considered this. We're all itching to ride.

I really do not understand the absolute fear of going for a reasonable ride with folks being responsible ......we just went for a ride around berryessa with a small group of six with masks, reasonable pace and no one riding over their head ..... nor meant to shame anyone and to each their own. Cheers to all and here is to 2021 being better :)

Go for it! Kaiser in San Rafael still has two available ICU beds, though you might have a lot of neighbors with Covid.

I remember my first Christmas ride in 2014. I did not know the lingo and thought "spirited" was Christmas Spirit :laughing I quickly learned my mistake and left the group at Pt. Reyes so they wouldn't have to wait on me.

I love this place!

Thirty years ago, the Sunday Morning Ride in Marin was an outright race. I remember hitting 135 mph trying to catch up with the front and having an epiphany. Turned around and went home.
