Bring your bike out and see what you can do. I promise, it's not as easy as you think! Come show me how it's done!

How strict are they on the "leather" requirement?
From their Guidelines:
"Motorcycle riders must have an approved full face helmet, leather jacket, leather boots or shoes that cover top of ankle, and leather gloves."

I have full gear but jacket and pants are textile/kevlar.
Thx,
Mr. BR

Just got home from the track....It all depends on how quick & fast you are.

Motorcycle riders running 120 MPH or faster must have full all-leathers or SFI Spec 40.1/2 suit. Now if it is your first time and you show up with what you have, they will let you run. If you should happen to do some real out of this world stuff, then they will give you the once over real good. 99.99999% of riders will have no problems. Big thing is have a DOT approved helmet with a 2010 or newer snell approved sticker under the inside lining. 2005 will expire at the end of this year. Had everything from a 250 ninja, to a supercharged Harley out there tonight! Small crowd also, i made 8 total runs including eliminations.

My one and only time at the drags in Sac I ran 130 first run and got a warning for not having full leathers. Next run I did 133 and was told I was done.
It was fun and I meant to do it again sometime but I never did :(

Were you at Sonoma a few weeks back on the Busa trapping 140+? I was there in the black 335i.

yep, pro tree for bikes at both tracks.

cool; when I get back aboard, I'll have to bring up the zrx & see if I can turn a sub 14-sec quarter mile....:rofl

Oh wait, are they doing the 1/4 mile or have they gone to 1000ft. like the top-fuelers are using?

Do you have to be there by 4 to get in?

Best to be there by 3:30 if not a little earlier. That way you can already get through tech and be ready to race as soon as they start. You can come as late as you want, you will just get less runs the later you come.
