Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

    • Comments within a sale thread should be on topic and educational. Aggressive critiques and inside jokes will not be tolerated. Don't fuck it up, because the next step is disabling the "reply" feature entirely.
    • If you disagree with a price, keep it to yourself. The seller has set the price. If you don't like it, don't buy it and move on. If you really feel strongly about it, then PM the seller.

Bikes have been sold!


I didn't think I'd ever sell this as this was my first bike and is actually the same bike I got 100% with at my MSF class. I don't have much time to ride it anymore as I have a bigger bike now, and it feels very underpowered to me, but was an excellent bike to learn the basics on when I first started off.

Tires are fine for the street, but I don't recommend taking them out on trails unless you enjoy fishtailing around every single corner.

Gets about 70mpg, and is extremely nimble compared to heavier bikes

The reason my fuel ups stopped at the beginning of 2013, I had lost my job in April of 2013 and moved to Washington for a year, leaving my Suzuki behind in our shed for storage, so it was covered.

*Update*

Bought new batteries for both bikes, solved the issue with the Yamaha, so now both bikes start right up with ease.

Everything works on both bikes, no makeshift buttons or levers.

Updated price as well. Just paid registration on the Suzuki so you won't need to worry about registration until next year for both bikes.

Rode the bigger Yamaha yesterday and it's not enough umph for me anymore.

Test rides welcome so long as you bring a helmet.

Stop knocking the power. They arent supposed to be speed mahines and they can hold their own in traffic anyway jst adequately fine. These are great for city riding, non freeway riding, trail riding, learning to ride, havin a bike you can drop/not clean and not care, having something to jump on and rip around. Dualsports are great!!

Id be killed if I brought home 2 fun dualsports since I just told the household "no extra spending for awhile." Lol.

lol, I can't help but knock it, but it's my fault, they were faster a hundred pounds ago haha. I know it's not a speed machine, but when I rode them years ago, I was quicker off the line with them, which I needed when splitting lanes. Now it barely goes when I'm in first :x

What he said ^ however I've ridden it a couple times at Hollister and it does alright the way it is, but it's definitely not meant for the technical trails.

Another rider got it up one of the central black diamond trails at one point also, but he is a lot skinnier than I am lol :laughing

If your focus is on Hollister, then this would be a great backup bike/transportation to Target in Hollister after Faultline closes if you chose to keep it plated.

In the sense of dirtbiking, I forgot to mention it's just electric start, no kick

Monday bump! Due to continued lack of interest, I may post on craigslist as well as a last resort since I don't have time or room for this thing anymore. Just want it to go to a good home and help someone learn the ropes
