1-Armed Bandit
Selling my 2008 R6 after deciding that it's just not right for me. I picked this up to stroll down memory lane; to see if I could hop back in the saddle of the (basically same) bike I was riding when I had my big accident in 2005. I did and then realized it's just a bit too bulky for my current riding style.
I've only put about 400 miles on it since buying. Gave it an oil change and tune up. New plugs, new front stay, rear spools, fixed the rearsets. Bled brake fluid. New Supercorsas have 80%+ tread life left on them.
1-armed mods aren't permanent so nothing needs to be removed/replaced to make it rideable for you
Looking for $1850 or trade towards dirtbike or 790/MT09.
I checked VIN when I purchased it and it was clean, however, as was the case when I bought it, there's no title for it. I can provide VIN if you'd like to confirm.

Here is the post from when I bought it on BARF

Hello Folks,
Selling my '08 R6S that I recently picked up in track condition late last year. This bike will never see the street, so I wouldn't bother asking about it.
Asking $1500 firm, you pick it up.
2864 miles
The front end was swapped with an '09 R6 by the PO.
CRG levers
Vortex rearsets
Vortex gas cap
Woodcraft Key delete
Extra Arrow exhaust (dented by PO), factory currently on it
Here's what it looked like after putting several hours to make it mine:
And here's what it looks like post low side at Laguna turn 6.
It doesn't look great, but the after effects were fairly minor:
- Track fairings/frame slider took the brunt of the slide; they need to be replaced
- Left rearset peg ground down a bit, but I have both spares
- The shifter peg is bent and should be replaced or bent into shape
- Left spool screw broke off and needs to be drill/tapped to remove and replace
- Fairing stay broke and needs to be replaced
- Stator cover took a scraping but it's cosmetic
- Top right side of the tank dented slightly but can be pulled easily
- Tank is coated in PlastiDip black, it peels off; tank is naturally Yammy blue
Not counting the bodywork, only about $300 worth of vortex parts to get it back into riding shape.
I'm making the wife and family happy and hanging up the leathers (for now!), so here's your chance to beat on a great bike. I'll get it cleaned up this weekend, remove the old body work and take better pics.
Title is in hand, but the PO never had it transferred from when he bought it. Bike is also not registered as it was track only early in its life.
