Because whiny members are so outraged about being exposed to view points other then their, can't figure out the ignore function, and lack the self discipline to not post responses, we loose another point of view?

that latest action has to be the longest stretch of interpretation of the TOS that I have seen in a long time.

I assume you're talking about Schnell and I agree he shouldn't be on break, but can you explain how whiney members are to blame? Because you can flag whatever you want and all that matters is how the mods vote.

mods supposedly serve the members here and do Bud's bidding. How long have a few vocal members been bitching about certain member's actions? Why suddenly would a break be served now? His actions have not changed for months. Was he asked to change from the mod core, or Bud? Has he been any more disrespectful to any member, then those members to him? In fact he has been very civil. members here just don't like the volume of his posts (or their content I imagine). All they had to do is ignore, or choose not to post, no one forced them to read his posts

I don't agree with him a lot, but he adds another perspective no one else does, so I enjoyed that

Its a suspension, not a ban. I'm assuming he will be allowed to post again since he really didn't do anything worse than anyone else. He only did it a hundred times more often than anyone else :laughing

Schnell should be allowed back else he's gonna take it out family members or coworkers or some other poor bastards who may not be in a position to ignore him. Have mercy on those individuals and let him post again.

I wouldn't say mods serve the members, they try to keep the peace by enforcing the site rules. And I agree he's been more civil lately, but there was a bad spell in there, which it sounds like you don't recall. I go through bad spells too, so I don't mean to throw stones from a glass house. Anyway, he should just be on break from the political section and not from the entire site. Oh, and...

we just try to keep the civlil discourse alive... the TOS disallows uncivil behavior. I don't think it should be so hard.

And we (the mods) work together to figure out what works best for everyone. At least we try. Cracks me up when peeps think we have some sort of plot.

how so? It is not a continuation of a topic of a closed thread is it? Not one word is about the topic of the other thread, or anything close. so butch the mod core believes the majority here is better off by giving Schell a break? A break from what exactly? his opinion?

I don't think that's true at all. If Schnell would have actually started a mirror thread, he wouldn't be on break. The mirror for Trump is not all liberals on Earth, it's Hillary. If I started a thread calling all conservatives losers, I'd be on break just the same.

Would you please make your case as to why his post contains:

  1. Disrespectful language
  2. Personal attacks
  3. Baiting

Prove your case to the moderators so we aren't left to guess why you felt it was a TOS violation.
