Snowboarding 2015-16 season!

I just went yesterday to Donner Ski Ranch with my kid. $35 lift ticket :thumbup

We stayed in Auburn. Lots to eat there and gas up, then it's only 1-1.5 hr drive to Boreal.

Supposedly there was a power outage on the Nevada side on Saturday, which meant everyone was restricted to the California side. I was supposed to go up on Saturday, so glad I didn't.

But Heavenly draws a a lot just being at the state line. Kirkwood or others that are further out might have shorter lines. Then again with so many snow-starved skiers and boarders, there's likely to be lines everywhere this season!

Awesome day at Kirkwood yesterday. It was warm out , so we rode in thermal tops, no jackets. Snow was good, and only got - little crunchy in the shady areas after 2:30. head up Friday, if you can, for some freshies!!!

I was at Sierra on Saturday with a group of friends who wanted to spend the holidays on the slopes :facepalm. I boarded on Friday at Heavenly, conditions weren't bad but not much powder. Sierra was a cluster fuck, nothing but slush, ice, and people everywhere. Traffic was a nightmare and it took two hours to get back down the mountain to South Tahoe. At least I didn't pay for a lift ticket at Sierra.

Heading back up to Heavenly this Friday for a day trip :banana

Going to Boreal Saturday morning. Looks like discounted tixs are sold at Sports Basement. Looks like Boreal is open from 9-9 so should be a nice full day of boarding.

Went to Kirkwood on Sat. , backside was pretty decent for a warm day. Wish I would have gotten a hot wax though...
