After the glowing success of the Nuviz (everyone has one it seems!), only makes sense to revive Skully!

Well at least the new owner is trying to give the folks that got screwed the helmets they ordered.

Anyone who isn't a complete motorcycle noob would never buy one now, with the reputation they have.

This is true.

Unless of course the new company makes good on the old orders, the community really likes the product, and they get really good word of mouth from the people who got their old orders fulfilled.

I'd at least change the name though. Skully is a bad word in the 2 wheeled world at this point.

They should widen the scope of their intended audience and go after the automobile trackday / racer crowd. They have deeper pockets, there is less regulation, they can ignore the issues they are having with the rearview camera (image distortion corrected with software, aim on a sportbike is different than a cruiser / touring bike).

Connect to the cars OBD port via bluetooth or hard wire and display that info on the ‘hud’, use the GPS for lap times, and provide data acquisition logging.

This.

Imagine the training tool it could provide for racers on a new track. You could have AR lines, throttle position, brake pressure, etc. They'd probably not allow it during races just like you can't have active suspension in F1, but for practice/ training runs it could be a valuable real time feedback/report card device

U.mmm we have had PC simulators where racing leagues actually elevate the top winners to the real world class racing teams for almost 15+ years.
