They carve really well, super fast......and hard to stop. You can't cross 'em like you would with skis...ya gotta stop 'em like you would a snowboard.
I gave 'em a try a few seasons ago after my ankle and knee injury. My ankles no longer have the lateral stability for snowboards.
They're easy to use if you have a skiing background.
Don't try the Salomon Snowblades...they're not skiboards....they're basically short skis.
A 90-110 skiboard with a wider profile (10-12) tdoes really decent in powder.
Stick with the non release bindings as they are much lighter than the standard ones that release....
