Anyone have a good route from East Bay to Bass Lake?

We were planning on being in Ft Bragg this weekend but since nothing is open there yet, we are heading to the Sierras.

Before getting yelled at for traveling, we are staying at a resort which has been open for a few weeks and has their cleaning procedures down. We will also be very mindful of our disinfecting procedures and masks. Plus, we are mostly hiking away form others.

The main reason is we need to get our fostered to adopted sweet Cleo girl a weekend with the dog sitters. We haven't left her, even overnight, once since we got her. Great for building trust and routine, bad for moms that love to travel. She has met the sitters but we are doing this weekend so she will be okay for Weaverville and my week long OR trip in September.

Bike will be loaded with luggage and pillion so I would prefer nothing too technical like pinehurst but skyline would be fine:teeth

Any suggestions welcome!

Mines, Del Puerto Canyon, 132 to Paradise Rd (then to bypass Modesto), Paradise Rd, Hatch Rd, Gear Rd back to 132, At Coulterville go south on 49, then 41 east to Rd 222.

This route makes getting across the Central Valley a bit less painful.

Modesto takes forever to go through - so many stop lights. Never again. Thanks for the alternate route!

Very nice dogs! I especially like the black one, thanks for sharing

Thank you. She is the brand new rescue (march) that we formally adopted in May. Very sweet but still very shy of humans. She is super smart and fun but we are slowly introducing her to humans. Not much is known about Cleopatra, as she was rescued in China, but we know she loves her lulu and that's what matters.
