Shark Helmets in the East Bay?

I am getting ready to get a new helmet and have been switching back and forth between Shoei and Shark. I really like Sharks the best for fit, comfort, air flow, weight, etc., but since they had distro problems a few years back, they are hard to come by in person. And, since the model I love is now discontinued, I would love to find a retailer with more than one or two models that I can try on and see what fits the best.

Does anyone know of any retailers? I live in Oakland and know that Scuderia and SF Moto have them, but I think they are limited on models etc.

I want to buy a Shark Speed-R Carbon fiber helmet, and want to buy locally.

Hey Jester,

The only places I know of are in the city. Scuderia West and SF Moto are both supposed to carry them. But, have not called them to find out which models they carry.

I have been meaning to go look, but haven't yet. If I call or go, I will update or, let me know if you do

SFMoto carries Shark. They don't have Race R's but most every model below the top end can be found there. Scuderia hasn't carried Shark in years.

If you know how Shark fits then grab one off Revzilla.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, the last Shark that I owned was the RSX which is now discontinued. So, for me, I am starting from scratch. Have to check which ones fit me correctly now and that is why I have not been able to purchase through Revzilla or the like. Will definitely check with SFMoto!

No worries. I found the Race R fit me quite close to the Shoei RF I was retiring at the time. I had taken a chance and ordered from helmetcity when they still existed in Oakland since they had free returns and were across the bay. I'm still wearing my '13 Race R. Good luck with SFMoto. They are a good bunch over there. :thumbup

Oh awesome. I am using a Shoei Qwest right now. Was actually interested also to see if they had the Skwal or Vancore, but am also considering the Speed R. I am in the city on Wednesday. Will try to swing by there after I am done!
