I feel for all the new mods who just got their Mod hats fitted and now it turns out they have no seniority to make it through the filtration process. quite a conundrum.

Lester, I don't feel bad for the new mods nearly as much as I feel for any of the veteran mods who do not (or who choose not to) make it through the filtration process.

Even after he said he wouldn't, if they came back with an offer he really can't refuse, more power to him! You guys are absolutely right that this is his house and he can do with it whatever he wishes.

That said, there's bo reason to delete that "I wont sell" thread. In fact, that thread would have been a perfect vehicle to provide us with the update post so they can't be quoted. And guess what, his robot.txt decision ( blocking search engines crawl ) also means that we can't get a 3rd party archive of those posts. Good forward thinking.

A "Well, you know what, I changed my mind. I need the money for hooker and blow next week in Vegas." post to that now missing thread would have been more than sufficient and kept my respect.

I'm just another cricket in BaRf-land but that shady delete just don't sit right at all with me at all.

Did they think we'll just "forget" about that thread? Of course not. The only motive I can think of is to hide the big boastful "I dont need money .. I gotza my integrity, ideals, and friends." posts.

Oh wells, moving on. So I hear SBR is the new hot spot ?

The title is still visible in general, it's "Company wants to own barf... ** I AM NOT SELLING**" The "I am not selling" part was added later. The guy isn't too far off from retirement and the sale might allow for an early retirement, or perhaps make life a little better during retirement. He's crafted something pretty cool that was/is fun for lots of people, how about we give him something back and not give him shit for it? How about wishing him congratulations on completing a successful project? If you wanna start your own little purist forum fo da b-reel homiez, knock yourself out.
